JOURNAL WRITING
HOW MY LIFE HAS CHANGED SINCE I MOVED TO THE USA
It has been a year since my boyfriend and I moved to Gastown, Vancouver, looking for a job.
Everything has been so good, I found one as a fiction editor on a publisher and he is working on a companie next to me as computer engineer.
Our neiborghood is so quiet and everyone here seems so nice, it just feels quite like a movie. I never though we could get this far until our wedding, it was a difficult decision but we did it.
It is bad not to see the family so often but we earn more than enough money to live on, so everyone is happy. I fell in love with this city is so romantic and it really improved my English to work here
We have nothing but good expectations for our future to come, so who knows what would be the next dream to come true.

A SKILL I HAVE
I have been singing since I was 3 years old, I do not know how it all started, my mother says I just listened to the radio and some CDs and began to repeat everything better than expected for someone my age.
So I sang even more, for our neighbour's, at home, in the church choir, every single person I knew congratulated me for the holy gift that is my voice, and I also thanked God for it.
So I sang even more, for our neighbour's, at home, in the church choir, every single person I knew congratulated me for the holy gift that is my voice, and I also thanked God for it.
I started practicing seriously and I cast for the music School In Murcia, when I passed I promised I would make a huge effort to be a good singer and delight everyone's heart, for a good song can be a better therapy than a psychologist sometimes.
In short, nowadays I still sing on the church choir and on the music school to improve my singing skill to the top
A HOBBY
"It tickles..." that´s what I said after making "my" first harmony on the piano.
As soon as I began to sing I started interesting on playing an instrument, my older sister played the piano and I could not do nothing but looking at her while she did it. Her graceful fingers that looked light like clouds moved by the wind, from a group of keys to other, i could even hear angels singing around her beautiful symphony.
I admired her but felt jealous at the same time so when I started studying music I decided to play the piano, it was difficult at first, but I improved a lot and felt so confident. But as years passed by it recquired a big struggle to go forward with piano, my teacher demanded so much an I was so stressed.
Secondary school came after I tried to enter the Music Conservatory and failed. I gave up on piano, I left it on the corner, silenced, and focused just on school studies. I realised it, I had totally gave up on my dream of being like my sister, on having the same light and graceful fingers, because of how difficult it was, of how much sacrifice it demanded.
I regret that decission, I was so good and did not see it, it is not that I made harmonies on the piano but on my soul just like everytime that I sang. That summer I restarted playing piano again but it sounded like a disaster, i had lost everything, my fingers were so clumsy, they weight a lot, as if my hands were drunk.
But in the end I did not give up this time and nowadays although I still am a bit clumsy I have recovered a bit of that rythm and melody from my childhood, As I will keep playing the piano, not for my sister, but for myself.
LEARN TO PLAY A SPORT
To be true, I have never enjoyed sport, concretely, I have never enjoyed doing it. I maybe liked swimming, running a bit or biking, that is all, so as you may guess I hated PE.
Triying to learn a new sport was an extreme challenge to me, no matter ir it was football, basketball or voleyball you already knew I would fail. But I gave a huge effort everytime we had to do it so miracles happened often and I did it well.
The sport I struggled the most to improve but did best was basketball, no doubt, I joined the school team, I started stumbling, falling, biting my lip (as an inner scream) as always but I learnt until I remembered every rule, every step I had to follow.
I learnt how to steal the ball without hurting myself (or at least ignoring pain) and practice to score more points, I did not do it very often but I succeded sometimes. Later I tried other sports like horse riding, I practiced for two years and I felt like an amazon but as a sport, it recquired practice.
I practiced and enjoyed, being better or not, I felt better, I gained experience, and I advise everyone that asks me to try at least once. Like it or not, sport is necessary for youur body and your soul. Give it a try just like I did
A SPORT YOU LIKE TO WATCH
Everybody loves watchimg sports, live or on TV like tennis, padel, football, voleyball or basketball. But me, I prefer other sports quite more fancy like horse riding, swimming or ice skating.
I feel that those sports are so underrated, no one realizes they are also hard-working sports as coordinated swimming requires a good "apnea" skill to control oxygen underwater and move freely as you were an almost natural fish. I love how beautiful their shapes seem in the water and how coordinated all swimmers are.
When you practice horse riding as I did once you have tolook back to your ancestors, their elegance, their bravery upon the horse, but also the respect you have to pay to the animal. This is quite of a "team sport" where you have to be kind to your horse and cooperate with it to get the result you want. The detail I love the most of this sport is how elegant it looks but moreover I love to see some riders that whisper to their horses, that caress them, they show us that they have a good relationship with the animal,
Also when you practice ice skating you need to be fearless, get used to falling so you´ll get perfect balance skating to begin doing pirouettes. A friend likes practising this concrete sport weekly and he told me how hard it was for him to get used to ice but then he turned the element into his scenario, his habitat and comfort zone and began to have fun.
In short they are also sports, so beautiful, so demanding, full of sweat and sacrifice that lead to glory, maybe they seem more delicate, girly....but they have that essence that also hooks we should learn to appreciate as much as others.
THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED
Marriage has a long story, most of it comes after falling in love and realizing he/she is the one, but once it was a contract of convenience between families for so long. In the past it was realized when both the bride and the groom were just 15 years old because of life expectancy but recently we do it much years later. So what´s the best age to get married?
Thanks God, nowadays there aren´t as much convenience marriages as before and most of them are love marriages, but this means that most of them happens also later than convenience ones, Moreover it is said this happens because of studies, teenagers that were destined to get married usually left their studies to have a family soon and work, but love marriages are free and they can have a degree first.
This love marriages after finishing studies mostly have their wedding when they are close to their 30s while convenience one had it a decade before. This leads to a natality descenssion because babies come later. In fact other couples decide to marry even later, close to their 40s and that means it is harder to have children so they have to adopt them or live alone.
After looking to this studies, experts would say the right age could be at 25 or 30 but for me there is no right age for marrying someone you love and want to be with the rest of your life. You could have a crush on someone being a teenager but find the love of your life being 35. So no matter expectations or studies there is no right age but the one both of you, little lovers, decide.
THE PEOPLE YOU LIVEWITH
I live with my great little family. i wake up to say hi to my mum, she is gorgeous as always, she is shoort-tempered but caring at the same time. Then i say good morning to my cat Isidoro with his fair fluffy hair and golden eyes, always kind, always funny looking for me.
Then I go to the music academy and the university, each teacher seems like also part of my family with teir own manners of being, and I love them.
When I turn back home I finally see my father, he works until the evening so...He´s funny, energic and a bit of a dummie he always plays with me although I grew up he doesn´t care he´s the same man he was when I was so little.
These are the persons I live with, I couldn´t write everything they are and mean to me or what we do together because it would last forever but I can´t ask for anything better.
AN ACCIDENT
When I was younger i went once with my parents to the capital.s funfair with some friends, I was crazy about Barbie dolls and movies and always tried to look for attractions and gifts which were pink, while my parents were delighted with the atmosphere, the entertainments, the lights...
Then I found a pair of fairy wings coloured in pink and purple and my parents bought them so I could wear them with pride believing I was a true fairy.
Then we went to have dinner on a settlement, while my parents and friends enjoyed dinner I was playing with other kids, I showed them my wings and how I could fly so I picked to chairs, one of them to take of and the other one to land.
The landing one was in front of a near tree, then...I stood on the first and jumped with all my strength..
I ended up with my front teeth stuck on the wood trunk, I lost concience and my parents had to call an ambulance to get me out of there. This accident taught me a valuable lesson, dream but not too much, fly but not too high.
In short, nowadays I still sing on the church choir and on the music school to improve my singing skill to the top
